The plaque commemorates the diversion of the Snowy and Eucumbene Rivers into the Murrumbidgee Valley.  The plaque also commemorates the Presidents and Secretaries of the Murrumbidgee Valley Water Users` Association who guided the Association from commencement to the completion of the scheme.
