Condamine River Tragedy Print Page
The plaque commemorates Patricia O`Shea, Annie Kocho, Susannah Kocho, and her children William and Robert who drowned in a boating accident on the Condamine River in February 1927.
The tragedy happened while the river was in flood and the boat (which was carrying eleven people) struck an obstacle and capsized. Seven people died in the tragedy and four were rescued.
