The monument erected over the grave commemorates Pat Hill who was a referee at Brisbane Stadium.
Mr. Pat Hill has been appointed as the official referee at the Brisbane Stadium, and will have control of next Saturday's match between Jim Penman, middleweight champion of Queensland, and Johnny Foster, of America. Mr. J. E. Hoult, manager of the stadium, made this announcement this morning. Fifteen applications had been received for the position rendered vacant by the recent retirement of Major Fred Craig, said Mr. Hoult, and after giving due consideration to the merits of each individual, he had come to the conclusion that Mr. Hill was possessed of the outstanding qualifications.
