The plaque commemorates James Thomas Knight Osborne who was a pioneer of Bendemeer.
Much regret was expressed when the death of Mr. James Thomas Osborne became known. He died at the residence came known. He died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Prentice, in Tamworth, on April 19. Mr. Osborne was the eldest son of the late Mr. J. K. Osborne,and was a native of this town, having lived here practically all his life. He was 68 years of age, and had been ill for some time. Mr. Osborne will be very much missed, as he took a keen interest in the welfare of the town. A widow and five children survive.
