A memorial gateway built in honour of former parish chaplain, Charles H. Patmore, who died while in a prisoner of war camp during World War Two. 

Chaplain Charles Henry Patmore, Australian Army Chaplain's Department (AACHD) was attached to the 2/21st Battalion. Chaplain Patmore was accidentally killed as a prisoner of war (POW) in Ambon during an allied air raid attack on 15 February 1943. 

Note : On the 15th December 2013, the church closed its doors with a final service and de-consecration, prior to being sold.
