Canon John Stafford Needham, 67, chairman of the Australian Board of Missions, died suddenly at Westmead (N.S.W. ) yesterday. Canon Needham, who was born in Western Australia, was formerly organising secretary for the Australian Board of Missions in Queensland. For the last 20 years he was chairman and principal organiser for the Australian Board of Missions, covering the whole of Australia, New Guinea, and the mandated territories.
