Reverend Peter Falconer MackenziePrint Page
The marble tablet erected by the congregation commemorates the founder of the church, Reverend Peter Falconer Mackenzie.
Mrs Hunter Baillie, a sister - in law of the Reverend John Dunmore Lang, built the church with the stipulation that Peter Falconer Mackenzie, should be the first Minister and have a vested interest in the church for life.
When the matter was first discussed, Peter Falconer Mackenzie chose Annandale for the church, because it was a developing suburb and was deficient in the supply of religious ordinances.
