The cairn erected by the Federal Methodist Inland Mission Board commemorates the Reverend Raymond John Noble, a Missioner.   He served in the Kimberley Patrol, Alice Springs as Deputy Director and Chaplain to the Forces.

He died in Sydney, New South Wales on 21st August 1964 at the age of 47 years.
