The plaque commemorates Henry Henden (1826 - 1896) who was for 30 years the Superintendent of Christ Church Sunday School and Henry Richard Rowe (1873 - 1901) who was a Vestryman of the Parish.
Three memorial tablets were recently unveiled in Christ Church, St Arnaud — the first erected for the Rev. J. B. Stair, who was incumbent of the parish for 27 years; the second for Mr. C. F. Lewis, J.P., one of the founders of the church ; and the third for Mr. Henry Henden, superintendent of the Christ Church Sunday school for 30 years, and also for his grandson, Mr. H. R. Rowe, a member of the vestry.
