The stained glass window commemorates Reverend William Hawke who was the Pastor of the church from 1915 to 1933.
Rev. William Hawke . . . A Congregational minister for 44 years. He was appointed chairman of the Congregational Union of South Australia in 1915, and had served at Bordertown, Medindie, Henley Beach, Salisbury and Glenelg. Mr. Hawke became a Methodist lay preacher at 17. After 13 years in that capacity, he was called to the Congregational pastorate at Bordertown. He was born at Kapunda and was educated at the Kapunda and Willowie Public Schools and Prince Alfred College. In 1931, for the third time, Mr. Hawke was elected president of the Cornish Association of South Australia.
