Two stained glass windows commemorate Archdeacon Charles Morse who was the vicar of the Parish for 33 years.

The left window is "Christ the Shepherd" and the right window "Christ knocking the Door", which was inspired by Holman Hunt's painting.

Archdeacon Morse was ordained to the priesthood in 1869 and licensed to the district of Yankalilla. He was rector of the parish for 33 years and was Archdeacon of Adelaide in 1887. He died in 1901.

Left Side Inscription

Praise God for Charles William Morse, Archdeacon of Adelaide. 

He founded this church in 1871

 

Right Side Inscription

and was Vicar of this parish for 33 years.  

He died in 1901, & his friends erected this in 1914.
