Reverend Canon Francis HarrisPrint Page
The plaque commemorates Reverend Canon Francis Harris who was the Rector of Blayney from 1917 to 1936.
The announcement of the death at Bathurst of the Rev. Canon Francis James Harris will be received with genuine regret throughout the Bathurst diocese, and more particularly at Blayney, where he had been rector for many years. The reverend gentleman also had many friends in Orange, more especially in Boy Scout circles, in which he was a notable figure. The late Canon Harris succumbed to a serious illness which overtook him only recently, and his condition became gradually worse, until he passed away.
