The plaque commemorates Father Thomas F. McCarthy (1804 - 1844) who was a Minister on Norfolk Island and in Windsor. The plaque was erected on the 150th anniversary of his death.

Ordained in Pisa for the Irish Province

Arrived aboard the "Templar"  9 - 3 - 1843

Ministered on Norfolk Island and Windsor N.S.W.

Died at Parramatta 26 - 7 - 1844

Erected by the Capuchin Friars in Australia on the 150th anniversary of his death

20th August, 1994
