The plaque commemorates Charles and Amelia Howell for 70 years of service to the church from 1900 to 1970.
Charles, born at Glenvale, in his younger days taught in the Sunday School and later served on the Vestry. Even as a monegarian [Sic] he attended the Festival Services. His wife Amelia (nee Owens) was popularly referred to as "Auntie May". A dedicated church worker, she is best remembered for more than 50 years of service in the Ladies Guild, many years its president.
