The marble tablet commemorates Henry Allan (1810 - 1893) for his services to the church. Mr Allan made generous donations to the church for its erection and improvements.

This tablet was erected by St Peter`s Congregation as an expression of their appreciation of Mr Allan`s liberality largely embodied in all the building belonging to the Congregation
All the members of which gratefully recognise him worthy the Encomium.
