The plaque was erected in memory of Joseph Longstaff, church warden and Treasurer of the Church who died in 1933.
The death occurred recently in a private hospital at Albury of Mr Joseph Longstaff, manager of the Commereial Banking Company of Sydney, at Elmore (Vic), at the age of 63. Mr. Longstaff came from a well-known family at Allan's Flat, near Yackandandah. He was married and leaves a widow and three children.
