Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam
And in loving memory of Edward King
Cathedral organist 1889 - 1919
Who for thirty years loved and served this Cathedral.
His soul had a desire and longing to enter into the Courts of the Lord. His heart and his flesh rejoiced in the living God.
Kindle generous ardour.
Breed pure love, beget the smiles that know no cruelty,
Be in thyself a centre of good diffused, and in diffusion ever more intense,
So shalt thou join that choir invisible, whose music is the gladness of the world.
"Rest eternal grant to him O Lord"
