A plaque commemorates the Reverend George Cox who died in 1946. Reverend Cox, who retired in 1919, was a noted field naturalist and preached at St Peter's Church on numerous occasions.

At the last Annual Meeting it was decided to place in the Church a memorial to the men and women of the Forces who served in the recent war, a memorial to the late Rev. H. O. Watson, for ten years vicar of St. Peter's; a memorial to Rev. Geo. Cox, who for over 25 years gave faithful service to the church and community.
