The marble plaque, erected by the elders of St Andrews, commemorates Thomas Miller (1829-1918) who left a bequest for the advancement of the church and Sunday School.
Thomas Miller was born in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland in 1829. He arrived in Tasmania in the early 1870s. He was a strong supporter of St. Andrew's Kirk and attended there for many years. Thomas died on 14th April 1918 at 'Elsie Cottage' in Hope Street, Invermay.
