The plaque was erected in memory of Mrs Alice Brown, a long time worshipper at the chuch and Sunday School teacher for many years. 

The 75th anniversary celebrations of St. John the Baptist Church of England, Lambton, concluded yesterday, The 11 a.m. service was conducted by the Rector of St. John's, Cook's Hill (Rev. C. E. Thomas). A memorial tablet to the late Mrs. A. Brown was dedicated. A thanksgiving service at 7 p.m. was conducted by a former Rector of the parish, Canon R. Campbell. The choir sang anthems.
