A marble memorial tablet erected by the parishioners of St. Peter's Church of England to the memory of the late Rev. Thomas V. Atkin who had been rector of the parish for about 28 years, was recently unveiled before a large gathering. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. L. Gabbott. The tablet occupies a position on one of the walls in the chancel of the historic old church, and is a fitting tribute.
