The "St Hugh of Lincoln" stained glass window commemorates Reverend Hugh Simmons, precentor and benefactor of the choir.  Reverend Simmons spent 38 years as a clergyman in Brisbane. 

Note: A precentor is a minor canon who administers the musical life of a cathedral.
