The plaque commemorates Alfred Edward Sendall, a councillor of the Diocese who died in 1923.
Mr. Alfred Edward Sendall one of Goulburn's leading lawyers, died early on Tuesday morning from heart failure following influenza. He was a son of Mr Sendall, formerly of the Bank of New South Wales (Haymarket Branch) and was a partner in the Johnston and Sendall, established 22 years ago. He was a prominent Anglican, was president of the Goulburn Club, and was foremost in all patriotic and charitable movements. He was working hard towards the completion of the soldiers memorial tower.
