The plaque commemorates Private Dennis Bracewell of Epping who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1967 aged 21.

The plaque was dedicated by Reverend Peter Boase Epping RSL chaplain and the Anglican Bishop of Bathurst the Right Reverend Richard Hurford OAM who was a classmate of Dennis at Trinity College.

Private Bracewell was a jackeroo and stock and station auctioneer when he was called up in 1965. The forward scout with 6th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (6 RAR) was wounded at Ap My An, Phuoc Tuy Province on March 23, 1967 and died seven days later.
