The brass plaque commemorates Flight Sergeant Ernest William Baldwin who died in service during World War Two.
Mr and Mrs A. J. Baldwin, of Gre Gre South, have been informed that their son, Flt-Sgt E. W. Baldwin, 24, RAAF, lost his life while a member of the crew of a Wellington aircraft which crashed in England when engaged on a non-operational flight. Flt-Sgt Baldwin, who left Australia in August last, had followed farming pursuits up to the time of enlistment.
