Lieutenant Charles GuanPrint Page
The stained glass window was erected in memory of Lieutenant Charles Henry Guan who was killed in France in 1918 during World War One.
On Sunday last Chaplain-Major Mackenzie ("Fighting Mac") visited Lawson for the purpose of unveiling a memorial window, erected to perpetuate the memory of Lieut. Charles Guan, in Emanuel Church. The visitor referred feelingly to the manly qualities of the dead soldier, whose life should serve as an exemplum of Christian fortitude and courage to the residents of the district.
