The marble plaque, erected by the Western Travellers of New South Wales, commemorates Gunner Charles Clive Bryant who died of wounds received in France during World War One. The plaque was originally erected in St Peters Church, Darlinghurst. 

St Peters was closed in 1993, and subsequently became the Great Hall of Sydney Church of England Girls Grammar School.
