The plaque commemorates Private Archie Clarkson who was killed in action in France in World War One.
Extreme regret (writes our Colbinabbin correspondent) was expressed on all sides when the sad news came to hand of the death of Pte. Archie Clarkson, who died from wounds while serving in the Imperial Forces in France. He was the eldest son of Mr. J. Clarkson, of Colbinabbin. Prior to enlisting he was a member of the local rifle club.
