The plaque commemorates Private Leslie Johnson who was killed in action in France during World War One.
Mr and Mrs J. P. Johnson, of " Dartleigh," Colbinabbin, received the sad news from the Defence Department that their son, Private L. J. Johnson, had been killed in action in France on 21st February. The deceased soldier was 26 years of age, and was their second eldest son.
