Barbeque and Plaque commemorate the Walter (Tony) Stock who died restoring Old Homestead.
Tony Stock worked at the Jerramungup Agriculture Department and married a member of the Hassell family. He instigated the restoration of the Old Homestead which was originally built from stone and clay by Albert Hassell. The Homestead became a cookhouse when the land was opened up for soldier settlement. Tony Stock died during the restoration work and the Jerramungup Agriculture Department made a plaque in remembrance.

THIS BARBEQUE IS DEDICATED BY THE LIONS CLUB AND THE PEOPLE OF JERRAMUNGUP TO THE MEMORY OF WALTER (TONY) STOCK WHO IN MARCH 1977 TRAGICALLY LOST HIS LIFE WHILE GATHERING TIMBER FOR THE RESTORATION OF JERRAMUNGUP OLD HOMESTEAD.
