The O. O. Madsen bridge commemorates Otto Ottosen Madsen who was the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Warwick from 1947 to 1963.

Otto Ottosen Madsen (1904 – 1963) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Madsen won the seat of Warwick at the 1947 Queensland state elections, defeating the sitting member, John Healy of the Labor Party. He held the seat until his death in 1963.
