The Brian Nadilo Reserve commemorates Brian Nadilo who was a Councillor for the City of Glenelg and the City of Holdfast Bay from 1969 to 2003.

This reserve is named Ngutinilla meaning `Ngutinai`s Place`

Ngutinai was the Kaurna man who was invited aboard ship (anchored in Holdfast Bay) to help celebrate New Year`s Day 1st January 1887 following the Proclamation of the Colony of South Australia in Glenelg on 28 December 1836.
