The gates erected in 1930 commemorate W. T. Lees, who was Headmaster at the Ardmona School from 1909 to 1923. The gates were opened on the 1st October, 1930.
The gates erected recently to the memory of the late Mr. T. Lees, at the Ardmona State school, will be opened next Wednesday. Mr. Hansen, director of Education, will be present, and Mr. Elijah, district school inspector. Mr. Hansen will arrive in Shepparton on Wednesday.
