Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially (in fact they are probably larger than those of many companies who exist for profit). In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

The plaque on the church organ commemorates Alfred M. Coppin who was the organist and choirmaster for twenty-seven years.
On Sunday evening, in the Mount Barker Methodist Church, a tablet to the memory of the late organist and choirmaster, Mr. Alfred Coppin, was unveiled before a large congregation by Mrs. F.W. Ellis, who has been a member of the choir for fifty years. Mrs. Ellis was introduced by the Rev. Milton Tresise. Mr. Fred Walker rendered a solo and the choir contributed appropriate music. Mr Les Smith was the conductor and Miss Florel Smith presided at the organ. Amongst those present were Mrs. A.M. Coppin and family and Mr. and Mrs. Coppin sen.
