Dedicated 9 November 1997.
This area of parkland was dedicated in memory of the late Don MacSween in recognition of his 25 years of service to the Gold Coast Community and his contribution to the environment. Don is regarded as the Gold Coast’s first environmentalist, co-founding the Gold Coast protection league, groups against sewage pollution and Kirra Environmental protection trust.
