The gates at the site of the former Cope Cope Hall commemorate the first secretary of the Hall Committee, Albert Dunstan, who later became Premier of Victoria from 1935 to 1945. The gates were erected via public subscriptions and were opened by his widow in 1952.
Albert Dunstan lived and worked on the family wheat farm at Cope Cope.
