The office in the Hexham Bowling Club was named to commemorate Neville Monk (13-May-1940 to 21-April-1998).
Neville Monk joined the Hexham Bowling Club in 1965. He undertook many roles in the club, such as Chairman from 1995 to 1998, and Deputy Chairman from 1991 to 1995. He was a Director of the Club for approximately 6 years, and the Games Organizer and Selector for 14 years.
Neville Monk also won the Major Singles at least seven times, and State Pennant No.4 in 1976 and 1982, the NDBA No.5 in 1974 and NDBA Midweek Pennant in 1990.
