This plaque honours Cliff Hargrave who became a lifesaver in 1929 and devoted his life to beach and surf safety on the Gold Coast.
Greenmount was his home and his love was the Tweed Heads - Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club which he served as a Member, competitor, Club Captain, Boat Captain, Beach Inspector and President for a term of 25 years.
Unveiled on 3rd October 1976 by Mrs Margaret Hargrave life member of Tweed Heads - Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club and wife of Mr Cliff Hargrave
