This Park Is Named In Honour Of The Late Edwin Arnold Hardy For His Services To The Community And The North Burleigh Surf Club.
In January, 1950, The Club Commenced Patrolling Duties And Ed Hardy Was Made The First Deputy President And Then Was Club President For The Next Eight Seasons. Later He Was Elected The Club`s First Life Member.
He Was Always A Respected Member Of The Community And Played A Prominent Role In The Early Affairs Of The North Burleigh Surf Club."
