The park commemorates Joyce Pearce (1921 - 1998) for her work as the driving force behind the project to restore the Sofala Footbridge.
She devoted the last years of her life to operating a craft shop to raise the funds for the restoration.

Joyce`s Vision
Joyce Pearce`s vision of restoring the Sofala Footbridge was the main driving force behind this project.
Joyce was responsible for raising the funds used to restore this bridge.
This park is dedicated to the memory of Joyce Pearce.
