The plaque was erected in memory of Neil Bowman (1948 - 2012) for his contribution to the town of Beachport.
Neil Bowman had spent much of his life at Beachport, as well as being the proprietor of Millicent-based company Bowman Earthmovers. After a few years of poor health, he died in April 2012 at the age of 63.
