The avenue of trees commemorates all those who have lived in the Mansfield District. The avenue incorporates the following plantings :-
1934 Victorian Centenary : C.W.A., Mansfield Branch, poplars
1938 Australian Sesquicentenary : Shire of Mansfield, oaks
1984 Victorian Sesquicentenary : Shire of Mansfield, eucalyptus
2001 Australian Centenary of Federation : Delatite Shire, poplars / pinoaks
Also in 2001, 100 trees were planted to commemorate a hundred years of community endeavours as part of the Centenary of Australian Federation.
The "Mansfield Gateway Project" was officially opened on the 7th February 2002.

AVENUE OF HONOUR
The avenue of trees commemorates all those who have lived in this district.
The "C.W.A. Centenary Avenue of Poplars" was the original planting and
was dedicated to the pioneers of the Mansfield District.
The avenue incorporates the following plantings :
1934 Victorian Centenary C.W.A., Mansfield Branch, poplars
1938 Australian Sesquicentenary Shire of Mansfield, oaks
1984 Victorian Sesquicentenary Shire of Mansfield, eucalyptus
2001 Australian Centenary of Federation Delatite Shire, poplars / pinoaks
In 2001, a hundred trees were planted to commemorate a hundred years of community endeavour, as part of the celebrations of the Centenary of Australian Federation (1901 - 2001).
The `Mansfield Gateway Project` is supported by the Commonwealth and Delatite Shire Council.
