Pioneers of Lake HamiltonPrint Page
The monument commemorates the pioneers of Lake Hamilton who are buried in the cemetery.
The secretary of the Lake Hamilton Cemetery Fund Committee (Mr. J. W. Stone), in a letter to the District Council of Lincoln last Saturday stated that his committee desired to present to the council the monument erected in the cemetery recently to the memory of the pioneers of the district. He added that Norfolk Island pines had been planted in the cemetery. It was agreed that the committee's offer be accepted, and that it be thanked for its efforts in having the monument erected and the cemetery beautified.
