Historic Stock Route
The sealing of this road is a dedication to all early pioneers who traversed this track and various other routes which were connected to it - from Sheringa, Bramfield, Mount Wedge, Talia, Colton and Polda.
In the 1860s the route was used by pastoralists to shift and graze their stock in the Gawler Ranges.
This road remains a vital link for freight, sporting communities, businesses, tourism and social events.
