The plaque commemorates the visit of the French naval frigate "Commandant Blaison" to re-enact the visit by Nicolas Baudin in 1803. The visit was part of South Australia's Jubilee Celebrations in 1986.

This plaque commemorates the visit to this site by the French Frigate "Commandant Blaison" to re-enact the visit by Nicolas Baudin in 1803.
It was unveiled by Captaine Pierre Burtschell on October 20th 1986 as part of South Australian 150th Jubilee Celebrations
