A plaque, unveiled during the 150th anniversary, commemorates the Burke and Wills` expedition which camped at Tragowel Station in September 1860.
The expedition by Burke and Wills to the Gulf of Carpentaria passed through Tragowel. On 2 September 1860, the expedition group led by Robert O`Hara Burke arrived at the homestead of Abraham Booth and John Holloway on the Loddon River, called Tragowell Station (later renamed to Tragowel Estate).
