Captain Peter Thacker Memorial
Dedicated to the master mariners of the Queensland Coast and Torres Strait Pilot Service, the longest single-handed pilotage service in the world.
Since 1884, pilots have relied on their local knowledge, bravery and experience to guide vessels safely through the treacherous reefs of northern waters.
