This plaque commemorates the change in the name of the
Council from District Council of Lacepede to
Kingston District Council
The Council was proclaimed as the
District Council of Lacepede for 127 years being from
3.7.1873 to 1.7.2000.
This plaque was unveiled on 3.7.2000 by the Council Chairman
Councillor John Legoe and Member for McKillop, Hon. Mitch Williams.
