Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth IIPrint Page
The trees commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and acknowledges her 70 years of service as Australia`s Head of State.
The Tablelands Community Centre in Ruffy and the Terip Terip Recreation Ground will see new trees planted as part of the Tablelands Community Centre’s Canopies for Koalas project. The planting ceremony will include a workshop on how to successfully plant advanced trees and tube stock.
The Tablelands Community Centre at Ruffy received funding of $11,650 from the Queen`s Platinum Jubilee Tree Planting Program which will run from 2021-2024. The project will plant trees, install commemorative plaques and hold an event in honour of The Queen’s Jubilee. This will enhance the tree canopy and provide additional habitat for native fauna.
