The trees commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and acknowledges her 70 years of service as Australia`s Head of State

The first tree planting took place in August 2022 with an additional planting taking place in December 2022, Additional trees will be planted in 2023. 

The project received funding of $20,000 from the Queen`s Platinum Jubilee Tree Planting Program which will run from 2021-2024. The project will plant an avenue of trees, install a commemorative plaque and hold an event in honour of The Queen’s Jubilee. This will beautify the local environment and raise awareness of The Queen's Jubilee.

Elizabeth II (21 April 1926 – 8 September 2022) was Queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms from 6 February 1952 until her death in 2022. She was queen regnant of 32 sovereign states during her lifetime, and was head of state of 15 realms at the time of her death. Her reign of 70 years and 214 days was the longest of any British monarch and the longest verified reign of any female monarch in history. 

Yesterday we had the official opening of our Platinum Jubilee Pathway where, thanks to a grant from our previous Federal Government to honour Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll Platinum Jubilee, we are planting 1500 trees. This number of trees equals the number of trees our late Queen planted around the world during her reign. Of course these trees have to be fenced off so the horses don't destroy them, and this fencing is providing a pathway around the majority of the perimeter of our property. With all the beautiful native trees, this will make a fabulous walkway and riding trail for horses and humans to enjoy!
